The Confraternity of Christian Mothers is one of more than 3400 Parish units linked to the Pittsburgh Archconfraternity at St.  Augustine Church.  The main purpose of the Confraternity is to keep married women aware of their high vocation and to aid them spiritually, especially in the character formation of their children.   We have many fundraising events during the year including the October Pumpkin Patch, Supermarket Bingo and Communion Boutique.  Non-fundraising activities include the Annual Retreat to Cormaria in Sag Harbor, Communion Brunch and Evening of Recollection.

As a member, you receive support of Christian family living, added social contacts, a chance to help your parish and community and share in the prayers and good works of thousands of Christian Mothers all over the world.

The Patroness of Christian Mothers is our Blessed Mother Mary.  We pray the rosary and ask her to guide us in our Motherhood.  We meet the fourth Tuesday of every month from September through June.  Our meetings open with a prayer and then we have a short business meeting.  After that, there is usually a guest speaker on a religious or secular topic related to raising children or motherhood, a show, demonstration, etc.  The meeting usually ends with refreshments and friendly conversation.
