  Serving our parish at Liturgies
on Sundays and weekdays
distributing the Eucharist; both the Precious Body and the Precious Blood.
Serving in hospitals, nursing homes, etc.
bringing Our Lord to the sick and infirm.

The core of the Eucharistic celebrations is the intense desire of God to be in  relationship with us.  God wants to become our food and drink for all time.

Matthew 26:26
"While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, "Take and eat; this is my body."

Extraordinary Ministers are assigned to specific Masses and may volunteer to visit hospitals, nursing homes or the homebound when it is convenient.

The Diocese of Rockville Centre holds training days for this important ministry in the spring and the fall.
